“I think it sounds more European, don’t you?” he said.

But now he and his wife, Samantha, are planning something a little more solid. They’re open a shop at 934 Edgewood Ave., just north of Post Street and next door to the Murray Hill Theatre.

Like so many entrepreneurs these days, they’re going the crowdfunding route, with a campaign on Indiegogo.com.

Morgan said they’ve set a goal of $7,500, which would go toward an oven for pastries and a refrigerator or two. They launched the campaign a few days ago and, as of Friday afternoon, had raised a little more than $1,500.

With or without that funding, they’re planning to open the shop on Aug. 9, with coffee, gifts and prizes (one will be coffee for a year) for all the contributors.

The Murray Hill location will have outdoor seating, both in front and behind. And they’ll keep the caravan in Hemming Park.
