Updated Information on High Visibility Enforcement for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety

Beginning in April, drivers who fail to yield to pedestrians and cyclists who have the right of way; cyclists ignoring traffic signals and laws; and pedestrians who cross against the signal or don’t properly utilize crosswalks where available will be actively cited by JSO and may receive fines. This latest effort is part of JSO’s continuing work to reduce injuries and fatalities to cyclists, pedestrians and motorists on some of Jacksonville’s most dangerous roadways.
